Been a while since I worked on one of these, 'bout forgot what I ever knew about them.

Clutch free play is 4" pressure readings are 170 in neutral and 135-140 in H,L and R.

Question I have is the pressure is not dropping when I push the clutch pedal it will drift slowy down to about 100 and stay there, seems I remember a roll pin that could break and not allow the shaft to push the dump valve??

The tractor seems to be holding psi in the pack when I return it to neutral it wants to pull on another few feet but it does it in both directions out of fwd and rev.

Am I on the right track or any other ideas? Thanks

Sounds like a roll pin problem at the rear of the actuating shaft [ at HLR control valve}..R & R top cover , Remove the lube line that goes to ring gear , take out 2 5/15" bolts that fastens the upper valve body to main body , Remove the clip that fastens the shifter linkage to the valve..Pull the upper valve upward , shift spool will come with it..Now you can access the roll pin..I use a strong magnet or a rag stuffed under the pin area to keep the pin from falling into the trans case...

Thanks for the info Roy, I think I probably scared the guy off when I gave him an HLR rebuild price. Said he would be to pick it up Monday.
