First time post, looking to tighten up loader bucket and hoe bucket. Question 1. Does anyone
know of a site to order pins, bushings, snap rings
washers, ect? Question 2. How do you get old bushings out, Do you just bang them out with a hammer? Any tricks?
TIA

Equipment Parts Source is a good aftermarket source for pins & bushings for Case backhoes.

The link below directs you to their parts illustration with part numbers and pricing.

I remove bushings with a torch. Slice down both sides of the bushing and knock it out. You do have to be careful not to gouge your housing, but the metal in the bushing heats up before the housing and if you are careful it can be done. Also, clean out all the grease or it will pop out on you. Even if you do nick the housing some you can take a die grinder and make the 3" disk fit the hole to clean it up. For installation put your new bushing in the freezer the night before installation. You will still need some type of set up to either pull the bushings in or drive them in. I do know that if you hit the bushing itself very much it will damage it. Try www.equipmentpartssource.com for your parts. I bought some for my 450 and the service was good.

As far as removing the bushings, a large bearing driver kit like snap-on has will do the trick. You will need this to seat them without banging them up. I priced bushings for mine from the dealer and it was crazy expensive so I got some bearing stock and made my own on my lathe. Probably cheaper aftermarket stuff on the net if you do a google search.

Run a bead of weld around the inside of the bushing, let it cool and it will almost fall out ! Jim in N M
