Am responding to your question on wear strips,
inside front of track frame are welded squares on which front idler slides, as required via hooked castings, which are located on each side of idler.Underneath these welded squares are wear strips which usually need replacing{usally riveted on},also parts that are fixed to idler may need to be built up with weld so they are "square" to fit wear strips.

I pass this tid bit along whenever a track job is mentioned, note direction of track link when
removed ,as they can be embarresingly installed backwards, and many are.{when looking at equip.

you tke the track off and haul them to an undercarriage shop
yu have to have a hyd press to push out hte pins and pushing and to put them back. it the trck frames are strigh dont worry about them being welded on, be sure and replace the Idler wear strips.
