How tight does a tapered hyd. hose need to be?
I replaced one on my JD 555A Crawler Loader and its in a hard spot to tighten. Its an inch and a quarter hose. I cut down a open end wrench but with the space avaible to get to it I can't get it as tight as I would like. How tight is tight enought?

Got er done. I'll know when I fill it up and get the air out if it's tight enought. Thanks for the info.

it probably needs to be a little tighter than what you have. I would make a "Crow foot" out of the wrench and that way you can use a ratchet or pull handle to tighten it.
