I have a Allis Chalmers HD6, and it is time to grease the rollers, and Idlers. I see in the service manual there is a special tool to run in the idler, after the center plug is taken out.
Here is the questian. Can I make this tool, or, where can I get this tool.
Thanks for your answers.
Steve

If my memory is correct the rollers have a stepped bore and the tool you speak of seats against the smaller inner bore. As grease is added the old grease comes through the bearing set and then out the larger bore around the inserted tool. Nope never got around to making one! I think that a rubber tipped greasing point would work if it were extended to reach the smaller bore. Eben
