I want to power wash my diesel crawler and I thought I once read a post that said to leave the engine run while washing it. Any truth to this? It is quite dirty and I'll need to be agressive with the washer.

You could seize the injector pump up by drastically changing the casting temperature due to expansion...

That is bad advice,do not leave the engine running when you are cleaning it as it will draw in the water as well as been dangerous should you stick the pressure washer lance into the fan, there is hundereds of machines cleraned at my place every year,we use hot pressure washers with the proper detergent and they come up like new,the detergent is TFR (Traffic Film Remover)
