Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a 450B track loader to a 6 way Dover blade? I know the 450's came with both but I have not saw a dozer up close to see if it is possible? If so where could on get a dozer harness and blade and is it an easy retrofit or a major undertaking?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you can install a 4 in 1 bucket for more versatility. I think Sean has one on his machine and he says its greater then sliced bread! I have a crawler loader too and find them to be much more versatile then a standard dozer. You have a lil more crafty to get cleaner grades when finishing but nothing you cant handle.

I have never done a conversion like you are talking about but off the top of my head I would imagine it to be a fairly substantial undertaking. Plumbing your lines wouldnt be too difficult but moutning a harness to the frame and remvoing the bucket arms and assembly. Lot of fabrication there.
Whatever you do, best of luck.

first WHY? it will cost more to do this then find a dozer and you can do the same things with a loader and more then you can with a dozer. try loading a truck with a dozer. you can cut a ditch with a loader they work better to push stumps and i like them better to level dirt with then a dozer
