This is my recently purchased combo, 2000 model 416, It currently has a 12" rock bucket on it and an adjustable claw, neither of which will see much use in north florida where its going to wind up. Just how big a bucket should I be looking for? mostly sand and clay where I'll be using it...Im sure it would handle a 24" any thoughts on a 30" or more?

I think a 30 inch would be fine. Maybe even a 36 inch. I have a 931B with a hoe on the back and it handles a 24 inch just fine in heavy clay with some roots in it. Your hoe is probably a similar size but would have higher pressure hydraulics. I want to make a 36 inch or slightly wider clean up bucket for mine for doing some finishing type work. Dave
