What would make the hydraulics on my crawler loader move slower then normal? Or say I wanted to increase the speed of the boom and bucket on my massey 470 loader for snow plowing, what might that take? I would assume, and i'm probably wrong here, that I would have to remove my pumps and have them either rebuilt or re-done to flow higher gallons per minute. Teach me please! lol

In addition to other comments, these basic ones:
1. You want to be sure you're getting the pressure you should. If not, could be either the pump or the setting on the pressure relief valve. Normally, the pump can put out higher than design pressure, and the pressure relief maintains it at the design pressure for the system. You want to know what that should be.
2. Make sure that any filters or screens in the system are clean; that can really slow things down. You don't want any extra filters added by a previous owner without being properly designed so as not to impede system performance.
3. Make sure you are using a fluid that meets the original specs.

Some systems have a flow controll valve with fast and slow settings. Your book should tell you. Other options are:
1. May find a higher cap pump from a newer model that would fit; expensive!!
2. Install smaller dia. cylinders to speed up cycle times some: also expensive!!
Had a third option in mind, but eludes me now. Certifiable CRS !! LE
