I think the shuttle shift gave up the ghost. Was driving it across a hay field to go clear a brush row. turned to the right a little bit and it just stopped moving. Gave no sign that there was a problem like the torque converter slipping.

IF you put the 3 speed in neutral and move the shuttle to either forward or reverse. you can then put the 3 speed in any gear without it grinding.

We towed it across the field and it still steers so everything in the final drives is still intact at least.

I dropped the belly pan in the field, torque convert is turning. It makes absolutely no attempt to move. I'm going to fetch it out of the field today and bring it home. Any thoughts?

rob Ihad the same problem. It is the stup shaft that goes from the flywheel to the hyd pump and the fine spline was gone. Took it to a machine shop and had the it hexed and welded a socket in
the pump and put it backed together works fine.
email if you have any ? stumpy

ok I got it home. Finally!!! I have questions before I get carried away here. Pulled the top off of the transmission. Started it up and I have oil flow. I mean its really runs it around there.

But it makes no attempt to turn the tranny.

I would think if it was the stub shaft on the pump you either wouldn't have any oil flow or as soon as you shifted the the shuttle the shaft would start slipping and the flow would go away.

Well the problem turned out to be the Torque converter itself. It cleaned the splines off in the inside

Got one from Dacco Transmission parts
