Here is the problem, It runs for about 15-20 minutes fine and then shuts down, won't run at full throttle, there are bubbles in the fuel filter, My question: If there are bubbles in the filter is it a problem before the filter (between the filter and the tank) or could it be something else after the filter still? Thanks. I have enjoyed using this site for obtaining information, thanks to all who post replies!

If that doesn't work replace the fuel pump. May have a tiny crack in the diaphragm. They can suck air and also put fuel in the crankcase - very bad.

generally when theres bubbles in the filter its a leak on the suction side of the transfer pump. It may not show up as a fuel leak but may be just enough to have air drawn in while operating. Check the elbow fitting at the transfer pump (they are usually loose after time) as well as the rubber lines. theres a screen (or was when new) at the bottom of the fuel tank. If thats plugging up it may make the problem worse.

Thanks for the advice guys! I went last night and fixed it. It was the tank. I took the fuel petcok of and barely a dribble came out of the hole. Stuck a piece of soft hose in the hole and blew into it, bubbles blew freely into the tank, and then a 3/16 solid stream of diesel came streeming out, put it back together, ran fine.
