I have a loader with a Vickers Pump Vane Type 2520 Pump Model 2520VM17AM8F its a 17 US gpm shaft end pump and 8 US gpm cover end pump, its a dual pump.
I would like to upgrade it to a 35 US gpm shaft end pump an 14 US gpm cover end pump.A 3525V Vickers Pump.
Will this increase my travel speed?
Will this increase the available gpm I would have available to operate attachments? I think it should.

Putting on a way bigger pump will require a lot more horsepower so doing it might defeat the whole purpose. A bigger pump will also probably need bigger hydraulic lines for the flow and a bigger reservoir for the oil. Dave

I would first run a flowmeter test to see what the flow is on the existing pump..If low , replace with same or slightly bigger pump..I don't think I would go quite as big as you spoke of..Why 2 sections to pump ?? Steering / brakes and loader ?? If the flow to loader is slow , is it because of a tank suction screen or filter or a collapsing suction hose ?? Vane pumps aren't known to be the most efficient pump on the market..They are more for flow than high pressure..Maybe consider a gear pump with original specs...
