Does anyone know where the brake adjustment is located on a TD8E dozer 9700 series?

The firs response is right but by the book the FIRST place you adjust is remove the floor boards and just take up on the rod that is to your rightFROM the rear houshing to the brake operating pedal. If in fact that does not give you brakes you would do as hes says on each side
looking at the crawler it would be at about 1 oclock just back at the edge of the sprocket.
Big lock nut then 3/4 wrench move the center bolt

in about 1 turn and try and hold it in place then tighten the lock nut.

From the side of the machine near the sprocket, I guess it would be on the inside of the sprocket on the final drive case. There is a locknut that, I believe it takes a 1 1/2 inch wrench to loosen the lock nut, then screw the inside in a little. It doesn't take much. If there is dirt in the sprocket area, it takes some cleaning.
