Roy, thanks again for giving me the answers to the questions I had for finally fixing my JD450-C. Are the older dozers such as mine better for a person such as I that does'nt use it for making money and works on it hisself, as opposed to a newer dozer that is more complicated but may not require as much maintance?

I suppose I should run this past you...How deep are your pockets ???I would say that's a determining factor as to what machine is a better choice for you.. I guess I'm partial to the 450-C myself...They sat lower and didn't have that massive square nose on them..Also easier to work on than the D's and E's..
