I have a bobcat 520 the Hydrostat is out. I paid 4,500 for the machine and have used it for 2 years and the hydorstat and drives need rebuilt. I have pulled them out of the machine. And taken them down the road to the guy to get them rebuilt. He seems a little high. Rebuild pumps and motors 3,000. If I put the money into this machine will it be worth it after or is that more then its worth.

Steve; I know what you mean! I have a 632 and the drive motors were bad.I bought new ones (1800)after looking at prices of other Bobcats. A diesel would have been a nice upgrade, but for what I use this one for on the farm, it works well. I just redid the tracks on a 430 JD dozer...now that will make you weak all over!! I used the Bobcat to pull the tracks up and over the dozer. One handy machine.Take care Bob

Look in Machinery trader.com for skid loaders and price them. $3000.oo sounds like a lot until you start looking at other used equipment. Many other used equipment sites out there too.
HTH.
