Good morn. I have just picked up a model 55 michigan loader runs great no leaks but when shifting frw-rev in high or low it will move. my four year old can walk faster. is there a charge pump for the torque converter.
is there a sump filter that may need replased.
also what type of oil and how much as i have not seen a dip stick.

some of the clark trannys had level plugs instead of a dipstick.if this is the case they would be located on lower rear back of trans beside or above drive shaft

You should take a closer look around the transmission and find the dipstick as the trans may be low in oil,I am not 100% but I think that it is engine oil that goes in it,when you pull the stick you will see what"s in there,there has to be a charge pump,you could do with a manual to show where things are,there are lots of things that can cause the slow travel,low oil,weak charge pump,blocked oil pickup,blocked filter,relief valve spring broke,torque,clutch pack so one would only be guessing,but first check the oil,check the axles for oil,make sure the brakes are releasing.
