Hey guys,I have a case 1830 skid loader that I"m not familliar with yet,it stopped pulling on the left side, right side is fine.I took loose the lines for the left and there is pressure, didn"t hook a gauge up to see how much but it looks like plenty.Seems like the left side just free wheels.I was wondering if anyone knew of a common problem with this machine.Maybe a broken shaft, stripped keyway, loose gear or broken chain or something? Where is or is there an inspection cover for the drives? Thanks for any help

I'm not familiar with an 1830 but I've been all over several 1840's but dont know if they are common to each other. The 1840's will act this way when the drive gear is stripped off the drive motor shaft. 1840's have a round cover outside between the tires that comes off and will let you see the gear and the chains that run on it. The drive motor shaft is splined so the inside of the drive gear has splines as well, the drive gear splines are what usually goes first but I have had to replace shafts in motor's before too. Good Luck
