Does anyone know where I can find the manuals for an HD21B Fiat Allis dozer? The serial number is 18547. I believe it is about a 72 or 73 model.

Also, where is the best place to find parts for these monsters? Really need a final drive, which I figure will have to be from a tractor graveyard. Also need some engine parts, which I would lik to but new. But, since Fiat does not operate in the US anymore, I do not know where to go for new parts.

Any info/help is greatly appreciated!!!

I think the Clapp boys could help you out. I have never delt with them but have noticed over the years they are active in the AC parts business. The Columbus dealer has a good inventory of Fiat and AC parts and was an AC dealer for years. He has a 41 up there I want to look at just to see what a big dozer is. Have had 21s for about 10 years . They are my farm toys. Bob

Well, I just made myself feel terrible. I called the Clapp Bros. Immediately, one of the brothers said "You haven't called us in a long time-- have you?". I very soon found out that his brother just passed away and he does not know if he will stay in business. He sounded really tore up, and I felt horrible for bothering him. I promptly apologized, gave him my sympathies, and let him attend to his business.

The Columbus connection hooked me up with the manuals, which weren't too bad. The service manual was a bit overpriced at $200. But, when you need something, you need it.

This is my first 21. Have had two 11's in the past for farm toys. One was a cable blade and the other a hydraulic machine. My grandfather sold the hyd. one way cheap. This 21 is a monster compared to those. I just hope I can get her going right. If I do, watch out, because no hill is too high and no tree too big!!!!

I have some 21As I use here on the farm in Ohio. I found my manuals on e-bay. There is an operation in Columbus Ohio that has a lot of Allis parts and eqiupment. Crane and Tractor, they had some Bs they were dismanteling a few years back. Another one who has an Allis grave yard is Clapp Brother Eq in Ill, 217-967-5219, ac7gb@webtv.net
good farm dozers. Bob Ohio

I appreciate the info. As for the manuals, I have yet to locate any on ebay for the "B" series. They are all A's,G's, & P's unfortunately. It is my understanding that there is some difference between the P's and B's in the way of integration of the hydraulic/transmission system. I am afraid to purchase a "P" manual if it does not contain all the correct information I need.

I am in Illinois, so I will probably give the Clapp Bro's a ring. Thanks for the info!!!
