Does anyone have the repair manual for a powershift D4D? The neighbor took a wild ride on his, he went over the side of the mountain. He went about 500 yards down before he got it to stop. When he did stop the tractor was sitting at about 60 degrees nose down. It sat for a week before he could get back to get it out. He got it to semi level ground then got a boulder stuck between the rippers and the track.
After he got the boulder out it wouldn't move again.

I drained the transmission and checked the suction screen to make sure it wasn't plugged with sludge. The suction screen was clean. Refilled the tranny and took pressure readings on the tranny control valve.
The left port had 300 psi. the right port was at zero. What is the pressure supposed to be? Or any other ideas?

Thanks
Scott

Port pressures:
P1(speed clutch) - 305psi +/- 15psi
P2(directional clutch) - 50psi +/- 8psi below P2
P3(torque conv. inlet oil - 110psi +/- 10psi
Also torque conv. outlet oil 35psi +/- 5psi, located on TC housing near outlet line to oil cooler.

Forgot to mention. Both a speed clutch and a directional clutch must be engaged for power to be transmitted through transmission. Need to find reason for zero pressure at port #2. Check linkage adjustment first.

Sounds as it has sheared the splines from the coupling sleeve between the torque and transmission.

The only shaft I can see turning is the one between the fly wheel and the torque converter. Everything else is inside a gear box. I can pull the top off the transmission and see the clutch packs for it but they are wet with oil. Are you talking about the steering clutches?
We haven't got it out yet, it's still sitting in the bottom of the canyon. Scott

About 250 in gear if it's marked P2.

Bob
There are 4 plugs on the control valve. They are P1, P2, P3, and LUB. Only two of them can be accessed through the small covers on the main cover.
Do you know what the pressures are for these other ports. If I remember right P1 is where I had 300 psi. It would drop to zero in between gears. On the side for forward and reverse it stayed at zero.
