#6 Cat Traxcavator question

I recentlly bought a old 50's #6 Cat Traxcavator that runs and drives like a dream, but the hydrolics are getting a little weak.
It moves the bucket up and down fine when it is empty, but will not lift anything when the bucket is loaded. It has a Denison hydrolic pump on the front of it. Now my question. Does anyone know if you can rebuild them? If so who?
Does another type of pump fit this machine?
Thanks for looking

Yeah, I checked, and changed the hydraulic fluids. I"m going to try a little heavier oil tonight (cross my fingers).
I looked in my manual also, and saw the same thing (about the two different pumps), but mine has the Denison. my serial # is 10A874.
I hope the oil works , but would really like to get it rebuilt.
Thanks for helping
Adam

Are you sure the pump is the problem? Plenty of cylinder piston rod packings to leak. Did you do any testing the pump?

My 10A1 - 10A1616 Parts Manual shows there were two pumps available under the 6H2543 pump assembly part number. One by Vickers and one by Dennison. Can't help you with source for rebuilders. Try a google search.
