Purchased a td15c with a hole in the engine block not sure what the engine is but believe it to be a INT. Dt 466. The place where the casting# or serial# plate was is missing. Not been able to locate serial # tag for machine.Need to know this info for block replacement. The machine appears to be made in the early 70"s. Any info would be appreciated. thanks.

The injection pump is on the left side of the block if you are sitting in the seat. Pump seems to be a rotary style. I will check location on block for serial # when I return to farm where machine sits. DWF I will give you a call about spare engine. Thanks everyone for the help.

The TD15C was only produced with a DT466. The early versions had problems with the angle in which the rod cap mounted to the rod. This was later changed in the "B" version. The rod cap split angle was changed and the engine vastly imoproved. You can get a used block in the tractor wrecking yards. The same basic engine was used in farm equip., othe Const. equip. The farm version had a different injector pump head. It delivered less fuel. Make sure if you rebuild get the later version rods, and make sure to have new rod bolts. Have the injector pump spider washers check as they can slip and cause overspeeding of the engine which could have lead to the thrown rod.
Great tractor when bugs worked out.

As mentioned, left side of block , in center section , below where the head bolts on, Does it have an inline Bosch pump. Good engines, must not have been well maintained, or maybe it has never been rebuilt.

It could be anything from a DT 361 - DT407 or the DT 466 . A couple picture would be worthe a thousand words here . 466's are almost a dime a dozen but the others are not . Look along the top edges of the blocks for a machined surface as the engine size should be stamped on the side. Or mid way up on the block . Today i am a littel brain dead on exact location one to many sheets of drywall and three tomany barley pops.
