Hi,
I have a 310D Case crawler that just stopped moving while pushing out a pine tree. After towing it out of the woods I was able to get it to move by pulling back on the brake levers but it seems to only have power to the left side and the right side brake doesn"t seem to do anything.Did I break a axle? Or maybe something in the differential? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Had one that did the same thing. It was a broken axle and planetary. The spur gears were $86 each takes 3 this was a few years ago

IIRC, the Case 310 uses the same transaxle as the Cletrac (Oliver) HG and OC3. If that is true then it could be a broken axle or sheared bolts the hold the drive sprocket on. When those bolts sheared on my OC3 the tractor would not move until I applied the brake on the affected side. That stopped the axle from spinning freely and the power was then applied to the other side. It made nice little circles then!

Your brakes run in oil it is not a brake problem > Could be axle,coupler,pinion/bullgear OR could be Plantary?ring&pinion. Either way If you need parts i have them, used and new also bearing kits for finals and tranny. Email me for my link.

I will remove the inspection cover off the differential today to see if I can see anything. The guy before me told me he had replaced the brake bands and they did work before this happened. If it is a axle how do I remove it?

Thanks for the help.

Dave

Sounds like you got brake issues. Check the brake lever and see if its broken or connected properly. Also, the brake bands may be seized or have oil on them. Some things to inspect. good luck man!!
