I am having a problem with the 1' low pressure return line that attaches to the hydraulic filter body. It will blow the line after 1-3 hours. I have changed the filter, removed and examined the body and check valves and found them to be fine. I have tried hose with wire in it also but that too will burst. Is there something in the system that can surge and cause this? It happens during different operations. It has happened whether using it as a loader or using the hoe. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

have a 2555 in the shop was blowing the return line off. guy said the oil got real hot that told me he had a internal oil leak in the pto as it has no two speed so split the tractor found a thrush washer had worn out pushing the pto brake apart so with this oil leak belive it was causing oil to heat. not sure if this helps you but if you oil is getting hot might have internal oil leak causin it to blow the return line

The only thing I can see that might cause this problem is a partially plugged suction screen. Maybe the filter pressure relief valve allowed some errant packing material to bypass the filter element and become lodged in the inside of the suctuon screen..The oil flow goes thru the suction screen to the pump..Like I said before , I haven't run into this before..I can't think of anything else that would cause a pressure backup problem to the point of blowing the hose out...keep us informed..If that doesn't do it, We'll try something else...

Thanks Roy. I will check that out. Where might I find the suction screen?

The suction screen is under that fitting where the return oil hose barb is on the trans case..Across the trans case is also another plug that can be taken out..It's been a lot of years since I've taken one out , I don't remember which way it comes out....

Check the breather on the hydraulic tank.
