Good morn; I have been looking at this dozer for some time sunday It was brought over to try out. runs great, good sound ,tracks strait. but when you go into a push it loads the blade then just slows to creep or stops Then you raise the blade
a bit it will start movinga bit faster. trans pressure is about 225-240 at 3/4 throdle
but as load comes up pressure drops down to 100-130 this does not seem right as engine load remains close to where it is when just moving around

Jonathan is correct about that machine..I would cut the transmission filters apart to see if there's any brass in them..Always remember; "Brass is bad"....Indicates the rotating group is damaged , usually from contamination of oil or lack of oil....

Youre correct to be cautious as a problem with those could be expensive..The automatic control of the transmissions is designed to keep the engine speed within a certain range and to slow down track speed but they shouldnt stop.. One thing to check is to remove the floor board and get the tracks to stop when pushing if possible. Look at the driveshafts and see if they also stop. They shouldnt. If they do it means the engine clutch is slipping. Some have a cold weather disconnect as an option but either way, theres still a clutch in there.. if you let it slip you'll smell it eventually too!! If the the shafts stay rotating, then I'd be quite skeptical of that dropping charge pressure..I'd have to check the tech manual to refresh my memory of causes of charge loss.

Upon reading your responce would the cold weather disconnect be a lever beside the seat? And could that valve be not seated all the way
then some flow be then sent back to tank? Because the lever that Im refering to is connected to a cable that looks to go down to the tran. but this cable will not move up or down. Then after playing with this machine I have changed the trans filters this did seem to give more power as the left track will now break traction and slip under load the right will slip
but not as easy. Charge pressure is higher and does not drop as much but still drops

The disconnect is a mechanical link to release the engine clutch in front of the splitter drive. So disconnecting that will disconnect both transmissions. Its not hydraulic at all...just like a hand operated cllutch pedal...and they usually dont move as no one tends to use them. Cut those filters open and seperate the filter material and look for shiny stuff...The gauge reads the lower of the 2 charge pumps...and having one slip and one not = bad.....Is the temp gauge working and in the normal range? trans temp.

I have run a BUNCh of 750 Deeres > the cold weather disconnect is on the right side of the seat , on the left where your foward rev. control and throttel is there is a Tee shaped cable deal that you can pull up and this locks out the load to ground speed valve and with that up you can and will stall the engine if ya lean on the forward Rev. control Also i have never heard of and E seires . As for whatis wrong here i am in the dark as i realy never did that much work on them just run the bag off of them in the oil patch and on const. jobs. First dozer i ever found that would work like i like to work FAST . Ran circles around the Cat's in the Patch maken drillen locations and road building along with moven drillen rigs in and out. Only dozer i found that you could track and winch at the same time or hold a load on a hill while tracken up hill at the same time.
