Just caught your post from the other day looking for a 2 3/4 socket to tighten an axel nut. Don't know if you've gotten it tightened yet but you should be able to get a soocket the right size from NAPA or anywhere that handles the axel nut sockets. The ones I'm talking about are usually stamped/formed out of something like 12ga material and have a flat bar welded across the top with a 3/4 square hole for the driver. They can handle a suprising amount of torque and would be better, in my opinion, than trying to use a pair of pliers or an adjustable wrench. You can probably get one the right size for $50 give or take. I did a quick search and this was the first site I found with a pic that you could see what I'm talking about. On the site they call them truck axel locknut sockets. Good luck.

yeah a few guys sent me some of the same info. A mechanic in a big truck shop actually sold me one of his for 30.00 so I got hooked up for cheap! I've got her all buttoned up now...been running her all day today actually and everything is nice and tight and smooth. Thanks for the help!!
