I need to replace the 3 spool hydraulic control valve for the 6 way blade on my JD 450-B. Surpluscenter has a bunch of valves but I don't know for sure which one will replace the OEM unit. They can't cross reference with John Deeres parts numbers. Anybody been down this road before. Thanks, JP

if it is a nono block you can use 214 o rings or 4214 quad seals to reseal it. if you need spools i have them also. or send it to me and i can reseal, blast and paint it. i"ve worked with gresen valves for 30 years.

Do you have the Gresen casting numbers?

There is a 4 digit number casting on the side that reads 2753. And it is a Gresen unit. I haven't pulled it out of the mount and cleaned it so I don't know if that is the correct number but I don't see any other numbers.

The originals were Gresens - but any open-center valve can do the job as long as you can make it fit. It needs to flow at least 13 GPM on a 6-way dozer and 23 GPM on a loader. You also need a way to hook your original - and very complicated linkage back up.

Whats wrong with your valve? If it just leaks and the spools are'nt scored just pull it apart and clean it up and reassemble with new orings and seals from Deere.
