FIRST OFF YOU NEED TO GET RIGHT FITTING. YOU WILL PROABLY HAVE TO TAKE VALE OFF AN CLEAN AS YOU MIGHT HAVE SHAVINGS IN IT FROM WRONG FITTING. THIS MACHINE IS METRIC. THE BRASS FITTING WOULD HAVE WRONG THREADS. ALSO LOOK REAL CLOSE AT OTHER LINES AN MAKE SURE ONE IS NOT KINKED OR SMASHED. IS THE LINE THAT BROKE COMING FROM PILOT PUMP TO FILTER OR FROM FILTER TO HAND CONTROLER.

both the line/ fitting that broke and the line that had to be taken off to get to it go to the left pilot controller. but there is one line that got slightly smashed maybe that is restricting flow. looking in book, both lines look to be presure free oil lines. I have to order the new filter (fitting) and i get a new line. thank you for help. when i get all that together i can reavaluate the situation. thanks again Glenn

DOULBE CHECK THOSE TWO LINES. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE BACK FEEDING PILOT CONTROL THRU YOUR LEFT CONTROL TOWER.

hi Jack. the reason i broke a line is the thing thru a track off and my brother was trying to drag it out of the mud. the track twisted up and broke the fitting, the line attaches to (filter) it is called in parts catalog. i replaced that with brass fittings that made the same connections but in the filter (original one) had a tiny little screen in the orafice. but the brass fitting i put on did not have a screen. I live in RI. my excavator is in new hampshire. but my brother said he would switch the two lines and try it for me.he went and looked and said the two lines are not switched, because one of the two lines would not reach the other. we thought maybe the track hit the valve possibly dented it enough to stop something inside from moving. but looking at the repair manual there is only one internal part and that just stops the flow of fluid when shut off.
