desparately need to know the dimensions of the trans-axle dipstick for a 198? case ck 580g 4wd, how long and the high/low indicator position(s)
Not a good idea to run without knowing how much is in it! Please help...

JC was looking for one but seems to have fallen off the planet...

Thanks AJ, looks like thats what I"ll do.
I have already got some useful info. from your manual from a previous post, (the guy who needed stats to register his machine) but I can"t seem to find that post again and get his e-mail address. You are truly our saviour, from all us rookies, thanks a lot! And as for you, Mr. Case 450, I was simply looking for some information on dipsticks, I was delighted to get a reply from one!

Can"t help on the dipstick but have the handbook for the 580G,there are two transaxles listed,the standard one takes 24 quarts and the German one 25 quarts,someone that has a 580G might reply if not its drain and refill the exact amount and make a stick.
