I"m looking at a 1969 HD11EP - it appears to have 4 problems but otherwise OK undercarriage, brakes, clutches, engine, trans. Problems are
1. It runs hot - previous owner says has always run hot - says typical of that vintage - True / False? Solutions?
2. Track adjuster on 1 side is bent - not sure how it got bent or other issues, but shaft is also damaged and will not hold oil - not really usable as is - how big a problem is this???
3. dozer blade has problems in hydraulics - goes to stops rather than responding to control - Is this likely a valve or ???
4. Blade is bent - can be fixed but this may relate to items 2 and 3 above.

Question is how big a problem would I be buying into? Cost to repair track adjuster looks to be significant?? Replace cutting edge ??

Any advice appreciated

I'd get a mechanic to check it over real good. It sounds like its been heavily abused. The cutting edges are made to be replaced. Usually the nuts are just torched off. Check with suppliers of ground engaging tools to see if new cutting edges are available or have to be custom made. Dave
