This may be a stupid question but can someone tell me the difference between the HG68 and OC3 crawlers? I'm looking at photos of both and they look the same except one says Oliver and one says Cletrac.

The OC-3 first came out in 1951-2, I think.
The frame system was also improved those years the axles now bolted thought the frame, instead of the frame bolted to the trans case and the frame was strenghtend at the bell housing mounts.
Also, welding instead of rivets.
The trans and axle housings are also thicker.

Cletrac built the model HG Cletrac in several witdths, ie 32, 42, 68" When bought out by Oliver they built them as Oliver HG's, now green with red fenders instead of the Cletrac orange. Then they up dated the design (main change was the outside flanged front track wheels) and called it the OC-3. New paint, yellow. Over the years parts and paint have been mixed and matched and it is becoming rare to find one completely original.
