Hello Everyone, I just wondered what were the thoughts on the general usability and durability of this type of machine. (the Bobcat model 2000 articulating loader ) Does anyone have experience using one ? Will there still be service support and parts out there ? Thanks for your attention, and your replys.
Tom

They weren't made for very long so that might be a good sign. I haven't used one but did use a swinger articulated loader. It worked good on flat ground but on any uneven ground they aren't anywhere near as stable as a skid steer. If one side of the machine is a bit lower, like on the part you just dug, and you turn the wrong way, they will tip over quite easily. I found out the hard way. Luckily it was a smaller machine and fell kind of in slow motion so nothing bad happened. My skid steer on the other hand will start to slide sideways before it will tip. I tipped it over too only because I backed into a hole hidden in tall grass. I felt a lot safer inside the skid steer. I think Bobcat has good parts support but don't know for how long on a less common model. Dave
