has anyone heard of a davis taskforce 200 dozer.i am looking for a shop, service manual. and any opinion from someone if there worth anything or capable of doing anything. i believe i am having a problem in high range. it acts like something is slipping. i adjust the speed control as low as it will go and dozer will not move until i increase speed control about halfway and when its under a load it wont move in high range. low range seems to be working. any help would be appreciated.

Delane: I never think of the simplest things first; run the archives here-there are a number of posts by other Davis dozer/trenchers owners, at least one with a possible parts source. One of them may be able to advise whether yours is worth trying to fix. Apparently there was just the one company that was bought by Case, but one of the posts implies Case isn"t much help.

There may've been two Davis companies: parts catalogs show a Davis that makes trenchers, but its similar numbers start at 300...but I found one that under Davis said: "see Case".
If you'll Google (advanced search, exact phrase) "Davis task force (two words) 200", a bunch of Case-Davis 200 hits come up, including parts and manuals; hope it's the one you're looking for. Good luck.

Sounds like a trenching machine without the trencher
