Had lots of diesel get into crankcase. I suspect Transfer Pump. Engine did not miss and ran smooth until time I discovered. Any tips on diagnosis and repair?

Thanks

What serial number is the 933?
If it is the D311 engine it's more than likely a failure of the "O" ring seal between the fuel filter tower and the fuel injection pump which will allow fuel to drain into the pan. If the transfer pump seals are leaking it usually shows up at the tell tale drain line that drains the cavity between the seals.

I can scan you the page on repairs from a service book if you need it.

More than likely the transfer pump letting the fuel in around the drive shaft, replace the seals and the bushings and it will last another 50 years
