I have this scarifier on my TD340. It's a bar in which you can insert teeth. Great for grading without the teeth. When it is fully lowered, is it supposed to be exactly at grade or slightly above or below? The Drott manual does not say, but it says that specs are available from manufacturer. I remounted mine on a quick disconnect frame to easily exchange with my backhoe, but I may not have the height just right. To ask another way, when you push it all the way down on a flat grade, does it lift the back of the machine a little?

I'm trying to imagine just what you are talking about, so many types around. On mine it was a trial of adjustment. And, some soil specs call for certian amount of depth when scarifying....you go from there...sl

Without any teeth in, the bar works well for grading. So the question is, when the bar is lowered the maximum amount, is it exactly at grade level, or does it provide some downpressure to raise the rear of the machine. I should have checked this out before dismantling it, which is why I'm trying to find someone with a similar unit to fill in this info.
