Didn't know that about Pawling; guess I never got into their history.
Old Timers comment reminded me: one of the P&H threads included the old joke ? that P&H stood for Poor And Hungry, but don't recall whether it meant the machines were slow workers or broke down a lot.
With sympathy, Good luck.

Wellll...hcea.net is still down; you might try:
heavyequipmentforum.com
stripmine.org
Const eqpmt forum on tractorbynet.com
You might also Google for P&H websites or forums; P&H was (is?) also known as Harnischfeger Corp., so Google them too.
I don't recall if the Cat sites (antiquecaterpillar.org, acmoc.org and ibdozing.com) have other eqpmt forums or not.
You might run the archives here; someone was resurrecting a little 150 with a Wauk motor, but I'm not exactly sure what site it was on; wherever it was, used to see posts by "oldcraneguy" who seemed very knowledgeable about cranes, draglines, etc. Good luck.

That was me with the 150 a while back. Haven't gotten too far with it yet, but someday.

I sent an e-mail to American/Terex (american at american-crane dot com) and they were able to date my crane. My number is 14094, a 1950 model. Your number is quite a bit higher, so I'm not sure what that means.

I also heard that P&H stood for "pump and hope" with the master/slave cylinder controls!

Pawling & Harnischfeger, do a search for that name, saw some interesting links come up.
