I know nothing about crawlers but came across this old machine and I'm curious, what is it? How old is it? Anybody recognize this old thing?

It appears to be an M2 Miliitary tractor made by Cleveland Tractor Company during WW2 to pull acraft around. I used to drive one. Wish I still had it.

An interesting old find....

The M1 shown in the picture is an older version of the M2 Tractor. Look in Military Hardware and you will find a picture of the M2. The M2 was a refined or later version of the M1. Both tractors had a Hercules engine in them and It had a lot of pep and speed. We used ours to pull a sheepsfoot roller with it. A very powerful rig but sure loved gas, but then it was cheap. Sure wish we had kept ours.
