Hello,

I have a Galion road grader that has a stuck clutch. Does anyone know how to get a cluth to free up? The engine runs and someone told me to hook it to a big tree and let it go. I don't want to tear up the transmission or the axle drives.

I need your suggestions.

Thanks,

Put a load on it in high gear with the clutch disengaged. That puts the load on the clutch not the rearend.

I don't think I'd tie it to a tree. You might break a drive chain or something else. If you have a place to do it, I'd just push as big a blade-full of dirt as you can, with out spinning the tires, and hold the clutch down.
