JD, take off the range shifter linkage and free up lever. Then reattach and then take off the interlock linkage to the powershift N,1,2 lever. Move it around untill the range trans lever will shift. Then adjust the link to connect to the speed lever in "N" so that the range lever will shift.

You must be talking about the range lever, when its down its in low and up is high,a lot of people locked them in low to keep the speed down, never heard of anyone locking them in high, usually a bar was welded to block the lever from going up,a 955H was not known for its speed.

it may be blocked. A lot of people dit that when these machines were new. It was to keep the tractor from overheating. Highwas tofast todoany work it was a feature to compete withAllis Chalmers HD7's.

Check to see if it has an interlock to the powershift lever. Not sure about this but a good place to start.
