The H 3 we are buying, (Still havent got it home yet) has some slack in the tracks. There is slack on the back of the back drives gears between the top and the bottom. Also if you take hold of an individual foor or plate ( not sure of proper name) you can twist it more than I thought it should. How do you tell if the track is worn so bad it should be replaced? The drive gear looks in almost new condition so I didnt expect so much play in the track itself.

Thanks again to all you knowlegable guys for your help.

Charlie

I have a rail height and internal pin&bush chart on my web site. One thing i will say selling undercarrige the first thing people do is call looking for spockets trying to get the last little bit out of there machine. It's funny as i would sooner see new chains or pins&bushing on worn spockets atleast the bushing would fall in the saddle instead of on the point or tip of spocket.
