The bearing shells have grease grooves, an x in them, and on the outside they have a sraight groove that looks like, it would like to have an o-ring in it, am I correct in thinking this? Do they have an o-ring on the outside part of the bearing on eather side to holed the grease and keep dirt out? Thanks These bearing shells are on the inside of the roller frame, on the diagonal brace

No "O" rings used. None on later models either. I don't see where there would be any advantage to having "O" rings on the back side. Should be snug fitting shells with some crush from bolt up and no space for grease or dirt on the outside.
