Got my nuts and bolts, 2 1/2 today. Started dilling holes out and welding, seems good and strong.
Only thing is, the bolts that were in there, were 2 3/4. The 2 1/2 I'm going to see tomorrow if they come flush I didn,t look before on the 2 3/4 A thing put togeter in a hurry, comes apart in a hurry, so it are'to last..

I did check my parts 9U. They were two inch bolts. Did notice that one of the 3/4 bolt repairs was 2-3/4 but I could see where the threads were extended past the strip. I didn't check the rear bolt strips. Sounds like your on your way to a fix even if you do have to fiddle with bolt lengths.

Well I looked up the bolts by Cat part number S-1601 and it is a 5/8 x 2-3/4 length. Don't know how much thread extension that gives but with the added nut height your probably going to have to go for longer bolts. Sorry about that....that's what you get for listening to cheap help LOL.

Like your determination....
Right would be with no more than a thread or two past the nut. Be sure you are using grade 8 lock washers.

Thats a new one, I haven't heared of grade 8 lockwashs before. I thought lock washers, were lock washers Thanks
