Can someone tell me what(approximately) a ripper off an early 70's Cat D8 is worth? It appears to be in good condition. Thanks!

We just bought a D8H 6 months ago for $16,000 with a ripper on it. It is in excellent shape with new tracks.

They are going from 3.5K to 20K depending what they are,you can have a single tine trible tine,2 barrel or four barrel etc, look on Machinery Trader under attachments or Iron Planet and you will get an idea.

Is it just the ripper tooth or the frame and all? I was looking for a ripper to make a rock pick out of for the skidsteer but got a rock rake with grapple. works ok. The rock bucket I had tore up to much ground in a finished field.

it's an entire ripper assembly. I'm thinkin' about lining up a buyer for the ripper before buying the machine. I need the machine for a little while, then would sell it,too.

Man those ripper tool bars make a handy jack . I take the teeth out have some big blocks and when i need to raise the machine and clean it it works slick as heck ,push both blade and ripper down raises whole machine so you can run it and half of it self cleans.
