I am posting this for my father, and am not sure I understand this. He is trying to find out the size on an idler roller for a 941 Caterpillar Traxcavator Serial#80H00878. This is the track roller inside the flange. He needs the diameter, and the part book he has doesn't give this figure. Roller-GR-118-1609 or 118-1609X.
Roller GR-118-1608 or 118-1608X.
Sprocke Ring only 4V-106.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, JH Central Illinois

My book shows a new roller being 8" in diameter, measured inside the flange. This is the bottom roller on the machine. I don't have a figure on the shaft diameter if he needs that. This is from the Cat undercarriage handbook. The part numbers you referenced are not the numbers my book shows, unless the numbers have changed. Hope this helps!

You muut have got the roller part #'s from the cat dealer. They are the new style #'s used by cat today. The first # is a new complete group & the second #'s is a reshelled group exchanged for your old group that is reshellable. X stands for rebuild-exchange. Your sprocket # is 4V4106 assey. & 4V4107 is a replacement rim. HT
