I have a cable cat serial # 3T9753. I want to know the year of the Cat. Also it uses oil like crazy. How hard is it to put new rings in it. I have a parts tractor for it. The serial # on the parts cat starts with a 5T. Is there a difference between 3t and 5t and if so what is the difference. I would appreciate any help.

I have a 5T model and it is a D-4. From what I gather a 3T is a D-7... big difference.

How did you know that. Can I find access to that information. Any idea on the rings etc. And do you know the difference between 3t and 5t machines. Thanks for this info.
