I rehabbed a 450B that has been working pretty good for the last 3 months. Has a 6-way blade and was pushing pretty strong in 1st and 2nd. It has been getting progressively weaker in all gears and now will barely move. I checked the clutch adjustment as prescribed by the manual. No joy. I then pulled the accumulator plug and checked the shims. I added 2 shims but lost the crisp shifting of the 4 gears. It still trys to pull but the distinct shifting ceased. So I removed the extra shims back to it's default but did not regain the shifting quality I had before. Also it made no diffrence in the pushing power. It acts like it wants to go but just can't grab hold(kinda like me some days). I think it is an oil pressure issue. Should I look at the needle valve adjustment next or replace the in transmiision filter and clean the screen first. I think the trans is still good but needs adjusting and or service. It was working great. This machine had not been serviced properly and sat up for awhile before I got it.

It's just me again...Look at the HLR pressure adjustments with the gauge put into the HLR pressure tap..If you don't have the pressure set right , and the speed of shift set right it just flat won't work right....

I'll check out the archives. The pressure test should tell the tale. Thanks Roy.
