Does the engine have to be removed to replace number 4 sleeve, and piston? If the engine has to be pulled, anyone know how many hour it should take to remove repair number 4 cylinder and replace engine?

Thanks
Fred

No. You dont even have to remove the oil pan.remove the head, take off the side pate on the block. remove the cotter pins from the nuts securing the rod cap to the rod. Important>>
REMOVE THE BOLTS! turn the wngine by hand until the piston is at TDC continue turning put a short peice of 2x4 under the rod, rotate the crank back and it will pust the piston & rod out. When you put it back up forget about the cotter pins. dont worry about the torque on the nut. tighten the nuts to 30 lbs.then tighten another 1/4 turn. I can scan you the pages from the service manual.
