My bearing caps are hiting. And my sprocket is hiting on my bottom roller the only thing I find that is different is the measurment from housing to teeth and its a 1/2 inch off? Grind roller?

The sprocket needs to be centered on the rollers.
If you can't get the alignment with shims your going to have to cut and re-weld the diagonal brace journal so that it fits the case. I seem to remember warning of that problem way back when you mentioned having to do extensive welding on the track frame.
Would help if you could get measurements off another D6B that has proper alignment.

yep yep The day has come, but it's not the frame it looks like the sprocket. Its hanging out further than the other side by 1/2 inch? But with my luck, cuting the bearing cap is still the way to go? Thanks

If there is that much difference in the sprocket location I would suspect one of them is located to far up the hub splines. May have some seal leakage problems. Still need to have the sprockets centered on the rollers or your going to eat up your undercarraige.

I talked with the guy I bought her from and he said, that she, always made a clicked click sound and that he ground off the the side of the sprocket teeth. He had replace the shaft on the side that is hanging out 1/2 farther. I haven't been though a final drive yet, just helped with the tear down on one. So just like last time with the bolt bars, I'm out of $$ and really out of time. He told me, like you, that the hub is probley pressed wrong, but it been running for a long time like that also he mensioned that grinding the roller would give it clerance for the sprocket. What would it hurt? Your Ideas??
Thanks Magnet

The hurt is that the sprocket, rollers and idlers are all supposed to be in line and both sides parallel. If they are not it results in accelerated wear and steering issues. Have a feeling the damage may already have been done. Grinding the sides of the sprocket teeth and last roller to make things work is pretty extreme. Also unusual to have a sprocket stick out to far, usually the other way....unless they did the old "stove pipe" trick to shim up a worn hub/sprocket spline or got a weld ring on off center. On that machine, I wouldn't be surprised. LOL
Where are you measuring?? Check the distance at the spokes or closer to the hub in case its a weld ring.
If you have to do what you propose to use the machine I don't guess it will break anything but you will soon know what the effects are.

I'm measuring from the center of the top of the sprocket inside tooth ,to the housing under the fender. Yea I got a can of worms and I need to get it going. Bolt bars worked great, after the third time. I don't really want to go into the finals, I'm leaning toward fitting the roller to the sprocket. I'm going to get some measurements to check the roller frame also

The bearing cap under the dozer is up against the housing going out and the sproket is up against the roller what is the best way to fix her The sproket is further out from the tracktor? Happy New Year
