If you got a manual stop either the pump/engine was changed or the machine is earlier than 88 does it have electric F/R shift, the early machines had a pull stop cable,it does not make any differ same 4.236 Perkins, that CAV pump likes clean fuel, good workhorse, keep the rad and cooler clean, sorry I can"t translate this into Esperanto.
Good digging

A 1988 machine will have an electric shut off so make sure that the shut off solenoid is getting power when the key switch is on,put your fingers on it and have someone turn the key on and off,you should feel it jump,if that checks ok starting at the fuel priming pump take the top off and clean the pump body and gauze filter, there should be a good flow of fuel there so you need to put a hose clamp on the line to stem the flow and take it off when you have the pump cleaned, open the bleeders on the filters and the two on the injector pump, prime the pump till clear fuel comes from the filters and close the bleeders, prime till clear fuel comes from the bottom bleeder and close it and then the top one last, open all four injector pipes a couple of turns each,on full throttle spin the engine over on the starter till fuel starts to spurt out the unions, then tighten them up and the engine should start, you need the battery in good condition.

cheers m8, u sused my problem AJ, thnx so much... i just dont know why she did that, the problem was the top bleed nipple was hidden by the throtle body, and for some reason the machine is fitted with the push pull start stop...not selonoid! oh well pretty mad...and to start it its pulled out!!! so the toggle is sliding towards the back of the pump and not the gears! total NUTS! well im plonkin my lil 8yo son on the 3cx, im not letting him on the 40tonne 360's yet!!!
