Okay here's the story. I decided to start the 843 last night because it hadn't been started for a few weeks. The air temperature was around 50 degrees so fairly warm. It has the Isuzu diesel in it. I cranked it over and it fired right up. Let it run for about a minute then ran the engine up to about 3/4 throttle. That is when the trouble began. It started blowing oil all over the engine compartment. I noticed that the engine oil fill cap on the valve cover was laying on top of the motor. I really doesn't fit that great anyway. With the cap off I had Dad get in and start it up again. At an idle there is a little bit of oil that splashes out from the rocker arms, but when I had him run the rpms up oil flooded out of the valve cover. It wasn't like the drain holes in the head were plugged and the valve cover was full. The oil was coming out under pressure as soon as the engine rpm came up. We haven't used this machine alot but this is a new problem. Any ideas??

I had a pozi-trak with the Isuzu engine in it. When we started one COLD morning it started smoking real bad. I could go on, but the problem was the crancase ventilation tube had plugged up from oil, dirt, and ice. Cleaned it out and it ran great. I would check that tube first. If plugged pressure can built up in the engine real fast.

Did you check the oil level to see if fuel had gotten in from either the lift pump or injection pump and overfilled it. Another thing to check is pull the valve cover off and check that the oil return holes aren't clogged, those engines sludge up easily if maintenance hasn't been kept up.
