My Skid steer has a set of flush face hyd quick couplers, i tried pulling the sleeve back on one but it wouldnt pull back & looked like it had a small pin or dimple maybe so it wouldnt go back. I used the other type (tractor) quick couplers for many years but this is the first time using the flush face type.

When you engage the male portion of the coupler the collar you see slides forward somewhat to engage and lock. It should do it on it's own but at times dirt and grit get in it and it may take a little work first few times.

The little pin you see fits into a slot on the coller edge, its like half a hole, push the coller back and twist it so it engages the pin and push the male end in,same to release.
